ABOUT KOMATSU

 

Established in 1975 on a 633.684 m² industrial lot situated in the City of Suzano – SP, Komatsu do Brasil Ltda is a company belonging to the Komatsu Ltd. Group, and is its first factory located outside Japan.

 

Present in the Brazilian market since then, along all these years Komatsu has been an active participant in the history of the construction and development of our country, present in important public works such as highways, railways, airports, hydro-electric power plants and petro-chemical poles, as well as in large infrastructure, agricultural and mining works.

 

It currently manufactures Hydraulic Excavators, Wheel Loaders and Motor-graders, in addition to being the worldwide manufacturing and distributing base for medium-sized Crawler Tractors exported to all continents.

 

Sharing the same philosophy adopted across the group – “Quality and Reliability” – Komatsu do Brasil has been twice in a row a recipient of the “President Excellence Award” (an in-company award) given in recognition of the excellent performance and very high levels of quality found in the products manufactured by Komatsu do Brasil.

 

Our main purpose being the providing of full support to our dealers – our greatest partners in publicizing and distributing our products – and providing the very best after-sales service and support needed by our clients, as well as fostering relationships with our suppliers and associates, we abide by the policy of our head office, always complying with The Komatsu Way – universal principles guiding the Komatsu Group – which states that all employees in the Group must contribute to make our clients proud of owning a Komatsu product.

 

The Komatsu Group also maintains a strong social and environmental commitment, promoting global actions such as deactivating land mines in Afghanistan, releasing DANTOTSU products (Japanese word meaning “without comparison”) – high performance, low fuel consumption equipment, in addition to activities for reducing CO² emissions into the atmosphere, releasing equipment with hybrid engines and many other like initiatives. In Brazil, that commitment is reflected in the “Working for the Future” project aimed at the local community, promoting sustainable development actions, sponsoring Para Olympic athletes, solidary workshops, walking for the environment, and more.
